My First Crib on Mars by Stephen AG Carey: First Place PaperWorks 4 Me I, 2009

Mexican-born, international artist Luciano Trigos is called "The Picasso of Mexico," with his vibrant, provocative paintings evolved from the "Hemofiction," work of his revered writer/dramatist father, Juan Trigos, who established the international HEMOFICTION Movement. Luciano Trigos' enamel-on canvas works were featured in HEMOFICTION: LUCIANO TRIGOS in 2009.

"Juarez"2010 from ILLUSION, METAPHOR, AFFINITY: SALLY WOODS-ALEXANDRES, painted to draw attention to the unsolved, senseless, brutal murders of 100s of poor young women since 1993 in Juarez, Mexico, just across the border from El Paso, Texas. Woods-Alezandres grieves with the victims' families, who have yet to see justice in a single case.
